I have been employed as a civil servant since 2001, and have experienced many difficulties as a result of having Asperger’s Syndrome and have not always been understood well by my managers and colleagues, although I have helped raise awareness during this time. I can therefore speak from first hand experience about the difficulties a person with Asperger’s Syndrome is likely to face in employment, and can identify the areas where one will need additional help and support.
